Unusual antique brass novelty money box in the form of a teacup and saucer, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920s.

The piece is designed as a small brass teacup with handle, sitting on a matching saucer. There is a coin slot to the top, and the cup unscrews from the saucer to access the inside. It is marked with the registered design number REGD 685799, which is associated with examples from around the 1920s.

A charming and quirky decorative piece with lovely aged brass character, ideal as a collectable, display item, or unusual gift. The brass has a warm antique patina with age-related wear throughout, including tarnish, surface marks, small dents, knocks, and dark spotting. The teacup handle has a little movement to it but remains attached.

A great item for collectors of antique money boxes, novelty coin banks, brassware, early 20th-century decorative objects, teacup collectables, and unusual curios.
